EB1935 Lounge & Gallery by CHAI Living features various genuine antiques, modern furniture and art collection, which are collected or designed by Tucho Iglesias, Founder and Creative Director of CHAI Living. The collections contribute tremendously to providing the elegant and intellectual space for our guests.  As each of the items find its owner who shares the fine taste and same appreciation for the piece with us, CHAI’s lounge is always renewed with different collections.

Tucho’s keen interests in Chinese antiques share the same root with his love for heritage properties. Attracted to Chinese culture, Tucho has traveled to more than …provinces and …cities in China and always brought back treasures with a story to tell.

From cities to villages, famed dealers to street markets, he has built a vast Chinese antiques collection. You could take a close look at the famed Ming Dynasty chairs, Qing Dynasty benches, sophisticated carved bed, and many more in the Lounge & Gallery. 

With a family having a long history running antique business in Spain, Tucho is an expert in sourcing and authenticating genuine European antiques.

The Lounge & Gallery displays Spanish mirrors from Queen Isabel Ⅱ times, French Empire style chairs from the late 19th century, British Art Deco cabinet in the 20s. 

Tucho's passion for design led him to leave the corporate world as a a lawyer and embrace the creative kingdom. Not only has Tucho designed and renovated CHAI Living Residences, he also has created furnitures and light fixtures reflecting his inspirations from various living experiences in different cultures. 

The Canvas Table collection includes dining tables, coffee tables and side tables that  contain a piece of vintage Chinese fabric with vivid paintings that illustrate fold stories or depict a certain time period in Chinese history. This collection has been featured in the National Geographic magazine.

With a holistic approach todesign and elegant aesthetic, Tucho focuses on creating interiors, furniture,and artwork. He draws inspiration from a passion for art, culture, history andculture, producing designs both visually stunning and rich with meaning. 

In CHAI's lounge, you could find a modern Bronze sculpture sitting on top of an ancient Chinese desk and a crystal resine made violin resting next to a beautiful wood craved bed from Qing Dynasty. 

Chinese young artists today are not afraid experimenting different materials and forms. We proudly display some signature works by Li Jinguo李金国, Xiao Lei and other talented young artists.
